Being whole in a fragmented world It seems that now, more than ever, there are so many things that get in the way of us going about our daily lives much less enjoying them. Our lives are fragmented. We have pieces of us that get divided up and parceled out by our schedules. We don't have time to be sons and daughters and mothers and fathers and brothers and sisters and wives and husbands or even ourselves.
With all the pressure is it any wonder that our relationships suffer or we get anxious and depressed? We have tightness in our bodies and feel run down. We forget to be gentle to ourselves—to be kind to us.
It is time for us to remember to slow down. To enrich our lives--taking time for things that are important. We must remember that those times that we often think of as spoiling ourselves are actually the times we are taking care of ourselves. We need balance.
